The Pickle Dish Quilt Shop

 A Quilters Paradise

 Your full-line quilting store

Hello Just a short note to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

We are very thankful that so many of you have supported us on our journey as a small quilt shop and we hope to see you again soon.

We will be closing for the holidays at noon on December the 23rd and will reopen on January 2nd for our Happy New Year Sale.  Everything – even the Handi Quilters - will be on Sale.  Brace yourself for some savings! The only exceptions will be those items previously ordered or those placed on hold.  We have fabric, books, batting and notions that will be reduced from 10% to 50%.

I have so much new fabric arriving at the store in the New Year that I have to make space!

We have the new Handi Quilter Amara in the shop and it is a beauty.  It has many new features and a fantastic price.

We are getting ready to start a very mysterious quilt by Kaffe Fassett.  I don’t know much about it other than it is available in 2 colour ways – one light and one dark and is 82 ½ X 82 ½ .  The program runs for 10 months and is suitable for beginners to intermediate quilters.  All fabric for the top is included and is designed by the Kaffe Fassett collective.  The first months package includes a bonus pack of 10 fat quarters -  not intended for the quilt!  By participating in the program you have a chance to win free goodies and more.

The program starts in March and costs $240.  Each month you will come to the shop to collect your next package containing fabric and instructions.  For those of you who would like us to shop for you, arrangements can be made.  If this interests you,  please call the shop.  Quantities are limited and I don’t want any disappointed customers.  So far we have an even split between lights and darks being ordered.

I was so fortunate to attend Quilt Market in Houston this past October.  Doubly fortunate that I had my hotel room booked before the Houston Astros made it to the World Series.  Hotel room rates quadrupled! Apparently the Georges Bush are baseball fans and attended the games.  Security was very apparent.  I am not used to seeing snipers on the rooftops and the National Guard on patrol.

I have ordered lots of new and exciting fabrics that will start arriving in January and continue into the summer.

We have many new classes coming in the New Year, so Keep an eye in the website and on Facebook.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Enjoy your friends and family,
Jan, Josee, Cathy and Jenn at the PickleDish.
